Peach pie shortcut


1 Can of sliced peaches in heavy syrup

I frozen pie crust (the short cut)

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/3 cup flour reserved

1tbs brown sugar

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/2 stick (4tbs) of butter

Add peaches, brown sugar & cinnamon to a pot…

Bring to a boil stirring often…Remove from heat

Add the 1/2 stick of butter to pan to melt

Begin adding the first 1/2 cup of flour to your butter

Stir it in…You want to keep it moving so it will not burn

When it begins to look like a paste is when you

stir in the 1/3 cup of flour you reserved You may

not need it all so add it slowly

Keep stirring together to make sure all is mixed together

Sprinkle in 1tbl of sugar

Add the peaches to your crust

Add the topping to your pie

Bake at 350 until golden brown


I like to ghost bake my crust.

Ghost baking the crust is baking

the crust before putting the

filling in so the bottom of the

crust doesn’t get soggy while

baking, you can do this while

you prepare your peaches and

topping for your pie.

*Top with*

Whipped cream or ice cream

Whatever you may like
